& Clinical Case Manager
From 2011, Amber has dedicated herself to advocating for youth and their families. Since entering the field of educational consulting, Amber has visited and assessed over 100 residential programs and schools in order to recommend the best match for AO clients. Along with being a placement specialist, Amber’s role as clinical case manager ensures that AO maintains consistent communication with programs and parents to effectively monitor each client’s progress. Amber’s fluency in Spanish greatly assists our diverse client population.
Amber has earned a master’s degree in social work from New York University and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Florida International University. Amber began her career as a patient care coordinator in a nationally known psychology practice. As a social worker in both community and school-based settings in New York City, she provided individual, family, and group therapy to children with challenges related to academic, behavioral, and mental health needs. Her specialties were providing comprehensive assessments and integrating each child’s family system into the therapeutic process. Amber’s interest in independent educational consulting led her to return to Florida in 2014 to join AO.
Amber is a professional member of the Therapeutic Consulting Association (TCA) and the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP).
